I just found it. I usually don't look up Bigfoot stuff anymore but I do encounter it because it overlaps with the ufo stuff and the missing people in national parks.
My guess is most spottings are just optical illusions
I think most are either fake or what you mentioned. But I do believe there are large primates we just haven't found out about yet. That's most likely what's going on.
I find it very difficult to believe that large undiscovered primates exist and the only footage we have is debatable. No image of them clearly rummaging through trash or any undisputed proof from a modern cell phone camera. Everything is moving, at night or standing still looking like a tree
It's also going to be .uch harder to prove now with AI generating better fakes
I've met enough hunters that have seen clues and/or had encounters to know they're near me. One guy, that doesn't believe in anything he can't see or touch, had a pic of his size-13 shoe next to a print that made his foot look small.
