Isn’t the government funding the end of science in a way? Maybe my subconscious was onto something…

I don’t think so. Rather, it prioritizes or takes money away from certain research areas depending on the political agenda. This is not compatible with the values of science, which must be independent and free of ideology.

I was just shitposting… 🤣

But you do make a fair point

I know, but I’m a paranoid scientist overreacts to anything concerning governmental funding 😂🤣

🤣 passion does this to people

The best examples are nuclear physics and synthetic fuel research in Germany. Both are being intentionally degraded now because it doesn’t fit the stupid green agenda. On the contrary, much less effective sun panels and wind mill are being flooded with tax payers money. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The impact gov funding had on the energy sector in many countries was the alarm bell for me, just makes no sense, and even with renewable it sponsored the wrong people in many cases.

I know a man who knows a man working on real real small nuclear reactors, exciting stuff!
