Nostr only for content publishing. But nostr still sorely lacks the breadth of content/info and breaking news needed to truly be nostr only.

Interesting. I have made a few nostr:nprofile1qqsz69cnayy65a0ty2re8dwdfynkyjnd6w0433q5davac43n4h6a06qpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0r6yts5 posts the last month, but besides that I haven't used Twitter since I left. I don't login to an alt or anything. I'm truly free and have been for what seems like two years.

Pretty much, man. News Bots help. I'm pretty disconnected with a lot of worldly happenings or late to learning about things as news is a bit slower here. If it's important, it will find it's way to me.
You do realize it doesn’t magically make its way to you on nostr unless someone else sees it elsewhere and posts it on nostr, right? 😂
Content exists outside of X.
No shit Sherlock, and outside of nostr, and unfortunately not as much ON nostr. 😂 Nostr has a ways to go before it’s THE go-to place for all content.
It may not be the go to place for everyone, but it's my go to place and I have been surviving just fine.

Yeah same. I still use X for news. There was an attack in Boulder yesterday. immediately saw it trending on X and found out what happened. I prefer nostr for posting/sharing and having more real conversations, but it’s not where it needs to be to be the world’s news.
