Imagine that the definition of intelligence is how fast you learn

A three year old is a thousand times smarter than you by that definition

They're learning how to operate their bodies, the social engineering, languages, manipulation. They're learning about physics in a visceral physical way

They're learning about sound and music and art and mathematics and science and the soul and the heart and the gut and love and motherhood

They're doing it all at the same time and they're learning a thousand times more things every day than you are

I look around and see people treat children like they're idiots and think about all the wasted wisdom and learning that they could be getting from their children

Just say yes was a big one for me. The kid wanted to make a baking soda and vinegar volcano outside. I said no at first and then thought why not 🤷‍♀️, it's less than $5. The kid had a blast and my heart was happy.
