Yes, it's a step in the right direction. Almost every musician I know already uses nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcqyrrkzl5yxd7xz8rat72pkdd3a3gl9tnwnaq64jtpvzfd2y8pc227qxxwq2n or Venmo. Cash app has the combined infrastructure of Tidal, Block, Cash App and nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyehwumn8ghj7mnhvvh8qunfd4skctnwv46z7ctewe4xcetfd3khsvrpdsmk5vnsw96rydr3v4jrz73hvyu8xqpqsg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q8dzj6n so I have a lot of hope that these legacy tools might one day transform into tools that serve artists directly. The direct upload without a distributor is a big deal. Artist in the US have to pay to distribute their music that then don't ever get any return. It's not perfect yet, but it is a really good step forward for a legacy system.
