I just don’t want that feeling of being transported back to pre-web windows client-server development circa 1993. That’s what it is starting to feel like.

In my early days, it was called PowerScript, built on top of Windows. Easy to code, easy to break.
Let's get rid of it
That’s why I am reading Hypermedia Systems. The core innovation has been stagnant for the better part of 30 years while everyone ran alongside the protocol to create client-server programs again.
