It does present a decision point for us. As for my own node, I built it to support the network. It currently does that without the patch. Does it support the network to install the patch? My gut tells me to be afraid - be very afraid. The patch is censorship in a nice tidy little package. That strikes me as anti-Bitcoin to its core. We need to be very careful when hunting this land.

Yes leave it up to the individual to do this, maybe some people don't want to run updates in the future and feel the protocol should osify with taproot thats up to them.
If people don't want OP_VAULT or eltoo in the future that is up to them, while I get your fear of censorship, I don't see market discrimination as censorship, we all censored the idea of big blocks, because it was a market decision
