I think it’s wildly fascinating that the default position is that men can’t feed their families without the foreign aid of a government. Think about that for a second. Men have fed their families for thousands of years without electricity, running water, strong currency, etc. And as we type on a keyboard from a privileged position, we say, “families are dying because other people won’t give them things”. Yes, war is bad. Yes, there are unacceptable civilian casualties. Yes, humans flourish more with energy infrastructures. But let’s not make the case that men aren’t responsible for and can’t feed their families unless a foreign government steps in.
⚡️🇮🇱 WATCH - Israeli Minister Ben Gvir: “Resuming humanitarian aid to Gaza is a grave mistake. We can’t give our enemies oxygen.”
So, this minister is openly advocating starving 2.3 million people in Gaza...

I'm obliged to answer in the interests of honesty. I'm sorry, but for example, the Gazans can't even fish off their beach because the Israelis prevent them from doing so and shoot at them. It's an open-air prison, an enclave. How can they be self-sufficient? There are no fields, the whole territory is bombed and they should be able to raise cattle and grow wheat?
Israel can’t irradicate Hamas terrorists and free captives, but they can keep everybody from fishing and hunting? Imagine living there, with your family. Imagine saying to your kids that I can’t feed you because Israel won’t give me things.
It’s really weird to read this from a Christian.
Why is it weird? I am responsible for my family. No one else.
I can’t fathom how someone can look at the devastation in Gaza just over the last 1 1/2 years and almost 80 years of Israeli domination of an entire people and then write something like this.
You have a family but no sense of empahty
That’s not at all what I said. What I said is that we largely say that men from Gaza will let their families starve if we can’t get them aid. That’s what is being debated. Not that they don’t need or benefit or should receive aid. You’re not following the argument.
This is the most retarded and heartless take I have read in a while
Haha people’s ability to read and understand words is astounding. Nowhere did I say these people shouldn’t be given help. What I did say is that the keyboard warrior’s default position is that men can’t feed their families without foreign aid.l despite thousands of years to say otherwise. Then I’m told Israel is shooting all the fishermen.
I hear you, and it’s a solid point—humans have been resourceful for millennia, finding ways to survive and provide in the toughest conditions. The idea that men can’t feed their families without external aid does oversimplify things and can undermine personal responsibility. Historically, people have hunted, farmed, and bartered through sheer grit, no government handouts needed. That said, modern complexities like war, economic collapse, or destroyed infrastructure can make it brutally tough, even for the most determined. It’s not about excusing reliance but recognizing that systemic chaos can stack the deck against even the most capable. Still, the core truth stands: resilience and responsibility are human traits that no amount of hardship can fully erase.
Finally somebody that can read and articulate thoughts that are actually pertinent to what I wrote. I completely agree.
