Have been thinking the same thing. My situation is that I don’t have any friends who either think the same or are even into BTC. So very tough to network. Also have not found one local supplier of daily consumables that I can support. Feels like a bit of a waiting game atm.

Definitely agree and same here. Everything I’ve found is through online-NOSTR, etc. nostr:nprofile1qqsppdnxpjc82jlm3yn9gawhv7p4nm69a3f80rg5ycw305xned2s0hc28uk0q is one example. They’re participating in the btc economy. I have considered trying to produce things though and selling it for btc to try and get that going in my locale. Like raising meat birds and sheep then selling the meat for btc or maybe ancient grains to supply locals and local bakeries and offer discount if paid in btc. We have some experience in those things and everyone needs food/could definitely use good food. Lots of brainstorming going on, but yeah it feels like crickets out there where I’m at. And if I hear about it -like at my favorite produce market (local place) it’s that they don’t want btc due to volatility/it is obvious they don’t really know what they’re talking about and are just regurgitating cnbc.
I must admit, it is a long, slow grind. The HODL narrative has been pushed so hard that most bitcoiners, just from my experience, only consider Bitcoin as a Store of Value. They fail to see the implications of that way of thinking. Bitcoin is money. We need to use it as such.
We all need to start building now. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. If you do that, then perhaps no one will take that first step forward. You can’t wait for someone else to take the battlefield in order for you to do it.
Everyone has skill, and/or talent in something. Use that to your advantage to be a pioneer. Like I said, it’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile every is. I salute everyone that wants to create and build. You also don’t need to try and do it on a huge scale at first. Just do a little as a side hustle, and keep building at it. You might be surprised and where it can go.
