Two or three nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 feedback points aka feature requests šŸ˜‰šŸ«”

- Ability to select multiple photos from your iOS photo library to upload, rather than only one at a time. It’s very tedious at the moment to upload more than a couple shots. I thought I saw an issue for this on GitHub but couldn’t find it when I went to look again yesterday.

- Ability to post long-form notes. I know nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s you mentioned a while ago that you don’t want Damus to be an ā€œeverythingā€ client, which I understand and agree with. But I’d argue that long-form posts aren’t that much of a jump from the existing setup, since you can write long regular notes and they just get ā€œā€¦-edā€ in the feeds. But I have not put my primary nsec into another client and I’m not about to start, so it would be a huge value-add if I could write long form posts here and not have to quote my other npub(s) from another client when I want to write & share a long form note. It’s enough of a barrier that I basically don’t do it.

Maybe make it a purp-only feature?

- It would also/alternatively be nice if Damus supported a little markdown in regular notes, assuming the protocol supports that (but I’m guessing it would be a client-side question?) — in any I’d love to be able to hyperlink text and use basic formatting like bold & italics.

Let me know if these would be better submitted as GH issues btw.

I currently use habla for writing longform but would love a dedicated, native ā€œwrite roomā€ app that had no distractions and is simply used for publishing longform.

Use Nostril and Vim.

I do this on airplanes for sending notes lol

Why on airplanes?

i don’t want to open nostr clients on airplanes, limited bandwidth. sometimes its just nice to send off a few thoughts over the network socket without loading anything externally

How would notedeck handle the airplane use case?

I was using textmode notedeck on the plane as well, i probably would have just used that for writing if I had that implemented

I’ve got it mapped to a key combo,

and my most replied to npubs as abbreviations šŸ˜›

That would be a great app, agreed. But I’m still not ready to give anyone but Damus this nsec 🤣 I figure I generated it within the app so I had no choice at the time (things like nsecbunker & other extensions weren’t really available if I recall), but I’m not trying to use it elsewhere if I can really help it

Yeah there are no guarantees on nostr app N not yeeting your follows list after you input an nsec.

Hopefully I’ll find a dev for this job.

#nostrCI

Yeah exactly - even with private key management aside, the follow/relay/etc config has been real stable within Damus and I’m just not trying to rock the boat lol

The plan is to ship a safari signer extension with damus which will protect your account from buggy clients:

Yes please…

Woahhhh now thatā€˜s an idea šŸ”„

Want.

This would solve every Other Stuff issue and increase Other Stuff adoption. Web apps greatly suffer because people don't know how to use extensions.
