Even lightning withdrawals are failing on Kraken right now. Wonder how and if it is related to the current #bitcoin base layer fee situation. I don't think they would be creating new channels for every withdrawal... Ideas anyone?
Discussion
Maybe they ran out of liquidity— everyone withdrawing using Lightning due to on-chain fees.
After talking to them, they claim there is timeout occuring on my lightning wallet's end. (Phoenix)
So maybe Phoenix has some issues. But again it should function correctly as no new channels are being created. Maybe the liquidity...
I haven’t used phoenix, so I’m not sure. Some things you could try:
- Receive sats via some other mechanism to your phoenix wallet.
- Try smaller withdrawals.
Could also be a routing issue—maybe there’s no path from Kraken? Just spitballing.
Interesting. So I can send sats from Phoenix to WoS. But I can't send them back. (error that there is no route appears) which doesn't make sense as I can send it the other way around.
Most likely it seems like there is no inbound liquidity on Phoenix?
Sounds like it yeah. You need more inbound.
