So I only run my X account through tor. I made it to engage with the community more, but the platform is centralized, under private control, and can easily be censored with no clue (e.g., shadowbans, algorithm shenanigans). It's one reason why I attached a PGP key to my bio.

I understand why people use X, to get the word out, but it's essential to not tie an identity to it - or else it can be taken away and locked out (like your experience!)

At least I can still use it. I also tried making an account on bluesky behind tor and it insta-banned me, lmao, pathetic.

I wonder how long my account will last on X once they start forcing identity checks/no tor.
