this year i really started getting into nostr, as part of my self-challenge to become more social and less isolated

i was stunned by the amount of zaps (and XMR!) that i received simply for posting the notes i wanted to post, but the riches that i truly valued were in my soul — that is, finding a community of people who care about the same things that i do: decentralization, freedom, and genuine connection

thank you to all my friends here on nostr, who have made me feel less alone throughout the year 💜

in my year's review of nostr, the only thing i regret is not starting when i first found out about it!

i've always preferred new years' themes over resolutions ever since i've learned about them

for me my theme will be health, and my aligned resolution will be to plank each day with increasing difficulty

i have a number of sub-goals, or other things i want to do in 2026

- continue to be active on socials

- consume more libre content (CC0 art/music/etc, and FOSS video games)

- pursue my art/drawing

- learn a language (probably korean)

Personally I use Logseq and for tasks I use super productivity and local sync using syncthing.

What broke about logseq?

here is my new todo/journaling setup, since logseq mobile is broken (and SuperProductivity refuses to sync) 🗓️📝

joplin + templates plugin, with webdav setup to sync it all

i can actually do some cool stuff, like doing math on the date to modify my plank todo "Plank for X seconds"

joplin has a native vim mode, and an OLED theme

Just a heads up for those of you who shout "shitcoin!" when I mention Monero, and at everything that's not Bitcoin.

**Cashu** is **eCash**. **It is NOT Bitcoin.**

**Fedimint** uses Bitcoin and eCash tokens (referred to as fm-BTC or fm-sats) within the Fedimint system.

"The money "fm-BTC" held by the user are actually "digital bearer certificates" or "eCash notes" stored on the users phone."

I urge you to get over any parroted monolithic toxic BTC ideology you may still be holding to.

eCash/Cashu likely has its place as a more private, non-techy custodial solution on top of BTC, though it does come with very real risks of custodial rugpulling and malicious actors.

**It is NOT Bitcoin.**

Monero doesn't need a second layer; it's time tested and private by default on a protocol level.

Stack sats, test L2/L3 solutions, use Monero.

From what I understood when you block/mute, it will stop you from seeing their notes ONLY. Or am I missing something? 🤔

10k steps a day minimum (when possible) hopefully a lot more. 🚶‍♂️

Work on building my online business and working towards financial freedom and self employment! 💼
