here is my new todo/journaling setup, since logseq mobile is broken (and SuperProductivity refuses to sync) πŸ—“οΈπŸ“

joplin + templates plugin, with webdav setup to sync it all

i can actually do some cool stuff, like doing math on the date to modify my plank todo "Plank for X seconds"

joplin has a native vim mode, and an OLED theme

what more can i ask for! 🀩

For journaling, there's a competition on the Fediverse run by this community: https://lemmy.today/c/nanowrimo2@feddit.online

I know nostr:nprofile1qqspsxwjy4edm65k53xplljqqn88hurqyzmtkgsfcseteq35zkz2exg22ftyy is participating in this competition once it starts in a couple of days (I just placed the link with the instance he uses).

Nice setup!

Personally I use Logseq and for tasks I use super productivity and local sync using syncthing.

What broke about logseq?

I love Joplin too. I'd keep using it but logseq has taken over and I don't like having to use seperate ones.. Though I do miss Joplin.

i used to do the exact same thing, until the mobile editor broke [somehow]

it will no longer make new bullet points

Booo

Mine works still (though the mobile interface could improve).. Have you tried turning it off and back on again πŸ˜…

I write my journal in plain text (markdown) and edit using qownnotes / helix on linux and quillpad on android.

And then I sync the folder with git. Not the best UX but it's software agnostic and lasts forever.

joplin is markdown too, i love this format

helix is such an underrated editor (though i'm somewhat used to vim shortcuts)

My laptop is a potato so I tend to avoid electron apps. πŸ˜…

I switched to helix from vim for its selection based (visual and interactive) editing model and builtin features.

I can still use vim too. After all its syntax is just reverse. For example 2dw in vim is 2wd in helix.

Nice. Joplin could not yet convince me over Logseq. But for great interoperatability, I just recently started using mdbook

a rust implementation, that runs on all main operating systems (don’t know if it works on ios)

i would still be on logseq if it didn't break on mobile

...however, now that i have started using it [joplin], i must say, i quite prefer it's interface
