I saw Jack and Odell virtue signalling earlier about no longer supporting Twitter (and judging people who pay for Blue).

Kind sers, that’s where the government officials, Nobel prize economists, Tether truthers & plain normies are.

I can’t subtweet Lagarde on Nostr in a meaningful and impactful way.

I can’t troll Nouriel Roubini, Peter Schiff and Paul Krugman on Nostr.

I can’t explain to shitcoiners why their blockchain of choice is doomed to fail either. Because they’re not interested in decentralization (but might become, if given the proper guidance).

Get off your high horses, echo chambers are dangerous. Of course I think that Nostr is the future of social media and of course I use it every day.

But I’m not limiting the scope of my work to people who already agree with me. I’ll use every tool that I have at my disposal to guide people out of Plato’s cave.

I’ve said it previously and I’ll repeat it: everyone wants mass adoption, but almost nobody wants to deal with the masses. Some folks even judge the people who do.

This is not wrong. Elon is doing a fine job of destroying twitter without anyone else’s help and we need to be there to nudge people in the right direction as they’re finally done with it. Likewise, nostr still has a ways to go before it’s anything but hostile to those types of folks.

That said, I’m still sticking to #MarchOffTwitter and will resume my regular shitposting on the sickly bird app next month.

People complaining about the state of Twitter are a vocal minority that finds itself in an echo chamber. We gotta be realistic about this: politicians, celebrities, large corporations, and regular folks use Twitter on a daily basis like nothing happened and will continue to do so until the ship sinks.

Pun intended, but for them the sunk cost fallacy is strong. Why risk losing what they have by embracing a new platform?

Which is why I’m targeting some normies.

I’ve managed to get my wife on nostr. One at a time!

npub? Going to zap her ⚡️

My engagement on twitter dropped almost to zero a few weeks ago. I gave up.

Mine dropped too, but I noticed that the algorithms keep posts alive for longer – sometimes I get a like or comment from a follower the next day.

Here on Nostr the average lifespan of a post is 15-20 minutes. Your posts get buried if your followers aren’t online when you broadcast them.

Both models have pros and cons. Which is why I post on both 😅

Just give it a month break dude. Phuck!

Just trolled Paul Krugman for having his Venmo account frozen and tweeting at them to ask for help.

I’m not gonna miss these opportunities 😜

I can see you point and why you're still doing what you want to do on twitter.

But I personally don't want to convince anyone to embrace bitcoin via online chats. I absolutely prefer real life conversations in that regard. So my usecase for twitter is very low right now and that's why I deleted my account. I've only used twitter for the bitcoin bubble anyway.

And there's an old meme that got stuck in my head, I bet you know it. I think it never really lost it's message:

As someone who produces a lot of online content, I gotta spread it around and hope more people will see it. Settling for one echo chamber is detrimental to both the individual and greater purpose.

Fuck the masses. Ignorant mouth breathers, all of them. I don't want them here.

But I still go fuck with them on Twitter from time to time.

But sir, mass adoption!

I see a two tiered society in the future where sheeple use Twitter and FB and CBDCs, and sovereigns use Nostr and Bitcoin.
