Replying to nobody

User installs application on 10 year old computer with 20 icons in task tray. Gets frustrated that app is slow. Clicks button 30 times thinking it’ll make application load faster. Takes entire computer down.

Files trouble ticket: “App is slow and crashes my computer. Fix your software.”

This particular customer pays entirely too much money for the software. Product insists the bug has to be fixed. Developer spends a week tearing out his hair trying to diagnose the issue.

In my C# applications I’ve started setting button.enabled = false at the beginning of the click event. 🤣
