They're a cloud Lightning node provider that's entirely web-based. It's often used as an educational platform for the teaching of the Lightning network, and node operation. They have extensive documentation that walks you through the setup process step by step. It's a great platform for your first node. Their support is also excellent through their nostr presence or via email.

We have heard of the difficulties with Lightning, however we will try to see what works for us.

If it's decided that lightning isn't beneficial then we may abandon it.

Until then we need to save up more sats for us to explore our options.
