Is there a .stl file available for free somewhere for this
Actually if you go the Blockmit site you can buy one ready printed or download the .stl file for free.
A few people have asked so here's a link to all the #Blockmit information as well as a full guide. The .stl files are downloadable too I believe. https://blockmit.com/english/guides/diy/make-cold-wallet-washers/
This model is kind of junk (offset isn't the same on left and right side and the tolerances are tight for the dial, plus the logo)
I modified it to fix the print issues and removed the branding. LMK if you'd like it.
Please. The only issue I had with this was the tolerance for the hole that the stamp went into was a little tight, but a small square file and patience fixed that. I don't know if Blockmit is the original creator of this or the ones that decided to make/sell them - that's why I didn't un-brand it. If they were kind enough to provide it for free, I'm not going to deprive them of a little social media recognition.
Also - I found a far better and much more streamlined method for bolting all the washer together than the bolt and wingnut they show. I'll snag a pic of my finished product and share.
Please do! I'll dig up the STL and send it over to you when I get home.
It gets destroyed in the second hammering...
Don’t know what you mean. I’ve used one 3D printed #blockmit jig for dozens and dozens of washers. If you hammer the plastic, then yes. Don’t hit the plastic!
I love doing this. I designed and 3d printed my own jig to match the washers at the local hardware store
Oh that's fantastic! I don't have a 3D printer (yet) but these are the types of projects that I expect to keep me busy. Did the final seed phrase set turn out okay? I found some very minimalist bolts to finish mine.
