Not doing anything wrong. At first nostr can seem like your shouting into a void, but eventually your voice gets heard by your tribe. Give it time. There are less users here, but everyone's more genuine.

Nostr requires you to engage with people ... no bots or algorithms to help you out... it's true social honest interaction. you need to put in work here to gain a following and will eventually realize that true engagement is the best engagement

You need to follow a lot more folks in the topics you're interested in and then engage with them. I also took a look at your timeline and most of your notes are reposts so you've also got to give your followers something to interact with.

read through the replies of whatever you see, and follow the ones that you like their responses

it will grow on you, because it's authentic

and don't do like what I did today: i read someone's tidbit of wisdom in the comments to someone else, and I kept scrolling.

then i realized, shoot, it was just luck that i saw this person's smart reply and I will never see it again. I had the power in the moment to click "follow" and have front seat to their future.

there's some discussion about how to make your own personal relay that has all your favorite topics in there, so it's not "Follow" based but Relay based but i haven't gotten to that level yet.
