Lmfao wasn’t paying attention…???… Why else have I been using bitcoin for so long then?

I’m still struggling to figure out why you can’t just try a different software? But you’ve done all those hours of learning?

I don't need to try other software if I'm already trying the best or have no use case for trying something else.

I also don't wanna give my value to things that will misuse it or dilute it.

And if by core you mean Bitcoin core, yes I downloaded Bitcoin core and run my own node.

The fact they can't tamper with Bitcoin is the reason I only use Bitcoin. This is something basic you learn when you start learning about money..

The money is broken and it is broken because people constantly tamper with it.

I'm asking now why YOU don't only use Bitcoin? Maybe I can get a reason or answer like that, because I already told you why I don't..

Cool I’m glad you asleast run your own node(or have)

I have no need to be "bitcoin only".

I like to test stuff and will continue to do so.

I will continue to use bitcoin & monero regularly as I see fit.

For me it really comes down to a moral thing. The system is broken and the only thing that will fix it is Bitcoin IMHO..

I'm really not against trying other things, but I'm trying to get out of the rat race and for now Bitcoin is being great/the best at helping me do that (without having to worry)

It did take 3 years before I started to run a node, but I'm not running a LN node for the moment.

I'm also not super technical and I don't like playing with my money/value, that's maybe why I'm a bit reluctant testing things with it..

I hope your pilgrimage is filled with a wealth of knowledge.

I would advise against running your own LN node except for a Zeus node in da phone… but that’s just my 2 sats as I do not want to deal with running a LN node… maybe I’ll try that again when I finally get my sever up n running…

And indeed. I was already checking out Zeus, but haven't made the step yet of using it. I already have the app on my phone, but not really using it..

I started using Zeus when wos left the USA market… I have had a great experience with it & the few times things got weird it’s pretty easy to get ahold of the team here on nostr…

I don’t have it linked to my home nodes either those are for certain wallets.

Man wos is great for a custodial solution.

But Zeus is the best for full self custody on a phone.

Zeus node in da phone requires you to accept each zap from the zaplocker unless you have it set up to receive payment when you start the node up.

Zaps sit in the zaplocker 4 up to 24 hours before getting refunded to the sender.

Bitcoin isn't great for making private and cheap transactions (without introducing complexity or giving up sovereignty)

It's like insisting on using a hammer for everything. Some tools are much better for other tasks.

And lets be real it's not like you don't use shitcoins. I'm sure you use fiat the biggest shitcoin of them all. So the purity test has already failed for you anyway.

That's good but that's not enough for bitcoins to be 100% private.

Relying on non-KYC sources makes your BTC around 10% private.

I use bitcoin to safe my time and energy that I provided to society on a decentralized network in digital space to use that economic output at a latter stage.
