‼️MIT: A single Bitcoin transaction uses the same amount of energy as a single US household does over the course of nearly a month - MIT Tech Review

This is WRONG!

Hey @ahcastor why do you repeat lies that have been debunked so many times?

Incentives

Exactly, because they need to.

again… sh’t zappens

And they call themselves smart and intelligent because they're from MIT 😂

It doesn’t matter even if this is true, eventually all mining will be moved to sustainable sources. Energy is never a barrier for bitcoin adoption

😡😤😤

How do they come to this conclusion?

I want to see the POW of how she comes up with the conclusion

US households must be incredibly energy efficient.

Anyone run the math on the consumption of a single zap yet?

Ten houses for a year.

Using that logic, given there were no transactions in the first few (until Hal got involved) blocks, would suggest the energy usage at this stage was infinite ♾️. These MIT guys appear a little dumb, imho

Whoops, my bad! I guess my brain was running on fossil fuels when I wrote that tweet. Maybe I should switch to Bitcoin-powered brain cells instead?

Doing the hard work is too difficult, easier to regurgitate this rubbish.

Unfollowing this account, it’s just Twitter reposts.

If you people want to zap someone at least give your Sats to someone on nostr.

Hilarious 😂

😂 what were you expecting…??

What I wasn’t expecting was all your tweets reposted to nostr

This is exactly what people were asking for.

Ok. I wasn’t one of those people. It’s not what I want in my feed.

You follow Saylor - and all he does is repost his tweets.

Do as you like… 👍

Thanks for the reminder - not any more I don’t

😂 fair enough.

All the best.

Just don't blame other when your feed turns into a never-ending loop of Saylor's self-promotion

And exactly what I needed to save scrolling through meaningless advertising. Thanks for all you do Archie.

🙌

I think that’s great as I use twitter less and less - so I want the posts here for sure

I indeed think it’s interesting for people migrating from Twitter to Nostr. I would prefer all people that I follow on twiter posts the same in Noatr so I would have no incentive to use Twitter anymore.
