All this dialogue would be a lot more attractive to me if it was like (not final copy, lol):
"For those who _want_ regulatory clarity, because they're trying to run compliant businesses that make the State happy, here is a bunch of stuff that they might like to see happening in the government. For those who _don't give a fuck_ about regulatory clarity, here are five other bills that prevent the government from fucking with you as you make your own choices in the free market".
Of course, the latter "five bills" don't actually exist and never will, so nobody says this part. But that doesn't change the fact that there is a whole contingent who, by virtue of being ignored - and in the context that "just because we're ignoring you doesn't mean we're going to leave you alone" - is understandably bothered that this is the only conversation happening.
Where is all the legislative effort to constrain government's ability to fuck with me? Providing cover and clarity for Coinbase is cool for Coinbase, but it leaves out all the plebs and we're getting activated about it....
