Talked to a few normies, nostr needs news, that’s a big use case why people still use Twitter, it’s less a social platform and more of news media.

Bots can solve this, mirrors for big media houses that we hate can also solve it to an extent.

I have seen some of those bots and think those are good enough for most i tended to follow curated accounts patiently waiting till one joins nostr

In the future we will probably see relays dedicated to broadcasting news? Pay a fee and subscribe to a curated news relay?

There is news already, a bot that pulls information from any page. It will be a huge boom for that. I’m unaware if you need to have any permission from an admin to do it.

But there is pages already doing that here on Nostr, I’ve seen a couple in English and Portuguese like #[2] or #[3]​ (which spams #hispano even tho is not an Spanish news site 🧐) I’m sure there is more

I didn’t mean you guys I meant #[4]​ it’s not spamming per se, is just that the hashtag was meant to be for Spanish speakers to be able to find more info in Spanish. But it’s an open protocol they can do as they wish, it is more a moral thing that anything.
