I don’t think anyone can comprehend the massive effect the ETF’s will have on Bitcoin’s price. BofA indicated $1 invested, increases BTC’s market cap by 118x. That said, there could be a bit of a sell the news effect, but midterm and long term, my bet is it will rocket.
It will open up a lot of institutions to invest in bitcoin and will demonstrate that the government is sanctioning it to some degree.
There are some concerns about everyone piling into ETFs and not understanding the technology, but in the end it won't matter.
For reference look at what happened to the gold price when the first spot etf was introduced
Another thing he didn't mention is in traditional stocks ppl dont sell the stock they take out loans on their portfolio. So this is going to creat more fiat. Some of those ppl that take out loans will end loosing the iou btc they have because they probably wont believe that btc has year long bear markets
There is believed demand for Bitcoin, so the etf would allow for some people to enter into ₿ without holding proper ₿. It also signals to the regulators/normal people that ₿ is ok and won't be banned, rather “regulated to protect you”
That is true. Didn’t think about that. But how would not holding proper bitcoin effect bitcoin itself? Wouldn’t it be better if people were holding bitcoin?

Price will dump as the front runners sell the news, we buy the dip.
Number definitely go up, but rehypothecation invariably go up too. My base case is that they RH too much out of greed and stock investoor unwillingness to self custody, then that blowing up causes the bear market of 2026.
Look at the previous cycle where people thought they had more Bitcoin than they did.
2013: Mt Gox
2017: Shitcoin ICOs
2021: FTX, Luna, Celsius
