Imagine how big Nostr could be now if it was at this point of development before COVID? Imo were just waiting for the best craziness and we'll have lots of people coming here to find out the real BAD NEWS.

I hope it takes some time before they come.

Yes, we need more time to develop and support large numbers.

We still need supply shocks to force the growth, stress test, etc. There was a note about Chinese search interest earlier... That could be something 😅

We still need to grow to stress test. Americans and most Europeans won’t move to nostr till it’s super convenient and “cool”

Can it ever be, though? Decentralization and streaming video don't really mix.

Facebook/Instagram/meta, google, Twitter & most other social media are losing big time right now. If the model isn’t sustainable then people will gravitate toward things that last. It wouldn’t surprise me if all those companies don’t exist in less than 5 years.

They are starting to ask for subscriptions to use Facebook and Twitter. It’s not long before people switch to more customizable options like nostr simply because they can’t afford $144 to keep a Facebook account.
