An article by #[0] to re-read that reminds us why there won’t be another better bitcoin that will come around the corner. Truly appreciate how many smart, thoughtful people are in bitcoin.

An incredible article 👍🏼

Love the blockchain trilemma that he highlights for tradeoffs

Agreed, love this article. With this most recent article in WSJ, #[1] curious what your thoughts are on the security/decentralized aspect when you factor in the lack of Bitcoin core devs/maintainers? Is that the point of failure we should be worried about? See my note for more context/questions: note1ms4ke80r05eg6xenjkg2qdh9ps2huequ9aggnwel703ada8m3twsluccm0

Understanding a topic well, and reading mainstream articles about said topic, makes you suspect about the things you don’t know.

Not a risk.

Ya for sure, wasn’t trying to develop an opinion based on that article, but definitely something I want to learn more about. I feel like I understand the principles of Bitcoin, but am less confident with the technical/development side of things. E.g. patches, improvements, core development, etc.

You could learn to read code and code like #[4] did. Although that’s a long route. As far as that article is concerned I would revisit the Blocksize wars and the UASF in 2017.
