Understanding a topic well, and reading mainstream articles about said topic, makes you suspect about the things you don’t know.

Ya for sure, wasn’t trying to develop an opinion based on that article, but definitely something I want to learn more about. I feel like I understand the principles of Bitcoin, but am less confident with the technical/development side of things. E.g. patches, improvements, core development, etc.

You could learn to read code and code like #[4] did. Although that’s a long route. As far as that article is concerned I would revisit the Blocksize wars and the UASF in 2017.
