Nothing is wrapped, we are using actual Bitcoin through Lightning Network. If you are talking about zaps those are receipts (Nostr social component) of Lightning transactions that wallets emit, not transactions themselves.

Nostr existed before there was any Bitcoin/LN integration.

Damus is one of the many clients you can use with Nostr, not all have integration with Bitcoin.

Remember that it’s easy to destroy with words than it is to build anything of value (proof of work).
