The truth is that it is a bit sad what the bitcoin community has become. I've been here for a long time and I can say that before we were more or less all rowing in the same direction. Now we have a lot of stupid discussions among ourselves of the most varied and that do not contribute anything.

I don't like it.

I'm as nostalgic as the next guy, but I do remember the blocksize wars…

Yeah, you know, I feel like there are people within the "community" that benefit from manufacturing drama too.

Nostalgia is an illusion. Big blockers have been muddying the waters since at least 2014, and efereums since not long after that.

I also think that there are entities that profit from fomenting discord. The named one in your meme is definitely one of them.

Just general topics or bitcoin specific? Isn't it just a small group of very vocal people as far as the distraction of ordinals, etc? Majority seem to just ignoring the noise and working on projects or stacking. Many have commented that the bull market brings more noise.

Whenever there's 3 people or more, there's politics.

Infighting will always happen, as long as the tech moves forward, and gives people options, and the government leaves people alone, it's good.

More people, more opinions…

bitcoin is for enemies, this has always been the case, but also, once it becomes large enough, most of it's users won't even bother to know it at all, if it just works, who cares??.. like people that use money today don't hang out to talk about how cool paying for stuff is on their paypal group.. they just use it and don't think much about it at all, it's just a tool, part of a process to some unrelated end. so if we have multiple opinions and sides, I'd say bitcoin has achieved a nice decentralization and is not tied to a single particular set of views. good.
