Looking for testers of this new Cashu feature that isn't merged yet: ecash backup and restore with a seed phrase. This is only implemented in Nutshell (command line interface) for now but will probably be in every Cashu wallet.

This is one of those features that needs proper testing before you merge it because you kind of lock into it once you activate.

So I'm looking for reckless and techy testers who aren't afraid of using the command line, installing cashu from source and trying things on our Testnut mint.

Here is the PR with a description of what to do to backup and restore tokens from a seed phrase. See the main repo's readme on how to clone and install cashu (using poetry). Please let me know if you try ig and send bug reports!

Any help is hugely appreciated 🫡

I may be able to test it later tonight.

I absolutely love this project and I can’t wait for it to develop further! Good luck 🤞

What sort of time frame are you looking at? I should be able to do some testing I think.

Would love any feedback. I want to merge this next week if no issues are found.

I tried it and it works (at least the scenario described in the PR). Deleted the wallet, and then restored it from the mnemonic successfully. Any other specific cases that need to be tested?
