Doesn’t Plebstr have zaps? What about Nostur as they have spas for sure will they be taken down?
Once Apple removes Damus from their App Store, you'll still be able to use the app if you have it installed. New users won't be able to install the app. Current users won't get new updates.
But remember, Damus is just an app. Damus is not Nostr. And Damus users have been down this path beforehand. Damus users in China experienced exactly this. And do you know what? THEY'RE STILL HERE.
I hope that Apple and nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s can come to a workable solution. Until that day comes, you have plenty of other choices.
You can use a web client with Nostore to keep your private key safe or you can install one of the other Nostr clients from the app store such as Plebstr.

Eventually, all apps would fall prey to Apple's tactics. Damus is the largest fish and the first to get taken down. Once other apps get noticed, they will too under the current rules.
Plebstr, Fountain, soon to be Zebedee…. List will go on.
I hadn't thought about Fountain, but you're right. Fountain is a great example as users pay creators for content they consume. That fits in line with this rule.
