This usually means your camera is not connected correctly. Reseat the connections. Check the cable is facing the correct direction.

Ok, I'll check and double check the cables once more...

While booting the camera blinks red once, so there must be some kind of connection...

There's a red camera light that goes on, then there's a green light on the RPi Zero, then the red camera light blinks again, followed by yet another green light on the RPi zero.

So there seems to be some kind if connection.

What are you using for a power source. Under powered usb can cause this issue. Also what image did you flash on the microSD? The seedsigner.0.7.0.pi0.img one?

Yes, I flashed the pi0 image, but it could have been that. I'll check with power source right away...

Keep me updated. I’ll try to help more if I can. I’ll also mention there is a great telegram group that can help with these issues as well. Group Invite Link: https://t.me/joinchat/GHNuc_nhNQjLPWsS

Ok, I found out that you can relay - via USB - into the RPi zero. And it seems that I able to connect to the Pi.

Strangely enough, when I try to log in with the standard settings: pi as username and raspberry as pw, I always get access denied... Do you happen to know of any way to predefine the standard user?

With the SeedSigner 0.7.0 image you would not be able to ssh in. However if you want to go down the dev build/troubleshooting route, you can build an image that does have networking/ssh. https://github.com/SeedSigner/seedsigner/blob/dev/docs/manual_installation.md

and

https://github.com/SeedSigner/seedsigner/blob/dev/docs/usb_relay.md

are good resources to do a “manual” build of a dev image that includes networking/shell access.

It doesn't seem to be a power issue. I tried two different power cords which I plugged into three different USB plugs... The same result every time
