Twitter doesn’t feel safe, not because of any perception of government censorship (for me). It’s because if I have a few friends that know that account is mine and are super judgmental.

When a friend decides to be disrespectful, without cause, they lose the title of "friend".
If they respectful, but disagree with you, that could be a healthy relationship if you both are able to be honest with yourselves and each other.
