ugh. I'm sorry to hear this! Though it may be because those who would be cheering most loudly for freeing Ross are not drawn to large conventions.
In any case, I think it's inevitable that if Bitcoin does what we all hope it will do, it will begin to attract more and more folks who are outside of the ethos that brought many of us to it in the first place.
