I have definitely been suspicious of some of them..

Is the concern that accounts are being made to harvest Sats?
I do wonder if this could be the case and even if it isn’t the case with the recent newcomers we will likely get these sorts of scams in future. I think it is good to send small zaps to newcomers to demonstrate Lightning but I personally won’t send anything too significant unless I’ve got some sort of idea that they are a “real” person.
Haven’t seen it myself but you’re right, it will definitely happen. That’s part of the incentive for the integration of lightning on #nostr, it’s easy to scam so scammers will come.

Yes we do, but there will be those that are here for different reasons so it might be an idea to just be careful. This platform is growing by the day and where sats are involved people’s interests and intentions can be different from ours 💜🫂

Already saw a ton get fooled by the #nostrich pretending to be the Italian model Gio Scotti. I didn’t pick up on it at first either.
