Mercy and grace are two sides of the same coin. Mercy is forgiveness and kindness when you deserve punishment. Grace is undeserved favor. Neither come from anger; both are grounded in love. What a wonderful God we serve.

here’s a crazy thought…

if grace is undeserved favor, how did Jesus “grow in grace and favor with God and man”, since he deserved it?

its just something i wonder about sometimes.

i looked it up in Youngs Literal translation and it actually doesnt use the word grace. it says he grew in the wisdom, stature, and favor with both God and man. 🤷 mystery solved
