Is will going to make #onlyzaps everything it should be? The original poster should decide if their post can be liked period. Anyone who thinks they should be able to like someone else’s post when the OP doesn’t want any likes is a charlatan. nostr:note12xne4ftm8aa47kehky2lxmtvas5m82e6zajed3pda926g6gj2wfsz6ht3u

Time to rip the band-aid off
Bring back OG #onlyzaps.

Exactly, it would be a lie anyway. You can’t stop someone from sending a like. This is the same reason we have mute instead of block.
How can you own someone else’s opinion?
Thought exercise
You paint a painting
I like your painting so I tag a ❤️ on it.
You get upset because I tainted your art.
I say how can you own someone else’s opinion.
The simple solution is to just not fetch the damn likes, if you don't want to see them. Very efficient for you. You don't have to prevent others from sending them.
That’s what I currently do, but there are pot belly goblins out there that will send screenshots of themselves liking my notes.
Likes are an ego boost for the liker not the poster #few
speaking of not fetching things, has there been discussion on nip-01 filters protocol to support querying for notes _not_ with tags?
Many discussions, it's harder than it looks, probably won't happen. Relays shouldn't be expected to be as powerful as actual databases. For the most part clients can survive well enough without these tricks.
It sounds like a simple solution. I'm new here, how do I implement it?
