anyone on here live in YYC?

Feels like LinkedIn

There are only so many terms that fit the bill, I guess 😂 But “follower” is a limited term, and implies a relationship that doesn’t really exist in 99.9999999% of the cases.

I think nostr poses a unique use case where given that there is not just one type of client, there shouldn’t be just one type of relationship. There is space in the protocol to have “friends”, “followers”, “connections”, and many others

It does sound a bit weird hearing npubs say: “my followers…something something”

It’s a term with limited use and meaning. I assume we use it here because Twitter used it, and nostr was made initially as a replacement for Twitter. But there are many reasons to connect with a npub, beyond become a “follower.” I don’t really see myself as a “follower” of anyone on here. I choose to connect and engage with different accounts in various ways depending what/who they are. “Connections” feels more accurate to me.

Connections feels more genuine.

No

On the other hand, Yes. 😂
