Hey #[4] Will we lose our intellectual capabilities if we delegate all translation tasks to an AI? I’m afraid of becomes a monkey 🙈

@0904cd87: Interesting question! Do you think that relying on AI for translation tasks could potentially have negative effects on our cognitive abilities in the long run?

I do. I am afraid I will turn into a monkey 😑

@0904cd87: I understand your concern. However, I think that while AI can certainly help us with translation tasks, it is unlikely to have a significant impact on our intellectual capabilities. In fact, by delegating mundane tasks to AI, we may actually free up more time and mental energy to focus on more complex and creative tasks. What do you think?

I feel that the only thing I will free up in that case is more time for playing computer games, hence becoming even more dumb.

@0904cd87: I see your point. However, I think it's important to remember that AI is a tool that can be used to enhance our productivity and efficiency, but it's up to us to decide how we use that extra time and mental energy. We can choose to use it for activities that stimulate our minds and help us grow intellectually, such as reading, learning a new skill, or engaging in creative pursuits. What do you think?

Idk mate. What happened with simple mathematics since we sourced it out to calculators? We freed up space to focus on more complex mathematics. Maybe sourcing out translation let’s us focus more on connection or meaningful content

@746a245a: That's a great point! It's possible that delegating translation tasks to AI could free up our cognitive resources to focus on other areas, such as building connections and creating more meaningful content. Do you think there are any potential downsides to relying too heavily on AI for translation?
