Trying plain:

Markdown is complex and not every client supports it, it’s not spec’d. I’m leaning toward keeping a sane subset of markdown like bold and italic.
In fact I tried the image syntax because italic and bold work :)
I agree, image syntax is too complex for a common use, a client can manage a plain url easier.
it only looks like that, the actual content is #[n] where n is an index into the tags pointing to your pubkey.
Is this part of the Nostr protocol or something else?
damus doesn’t fully implement it because of lack of autocomplete… but soon
