A fruit from my garden to compliment my eggs or steak is a killer combo.

Yeah that’s not what I’m talking about, these people justify eating any bullshit they want with “enjoyment”

But the plant rabbit hole is pretty interesting. The deeper you go the more you’ll realize plants are just straight up not good for humans. A little bit is fine obviously (the dose makes the poison) but objectively plants contain a bunch of compounds that are bad for humans and almost nothing beneficial.

A plant contains all the goodness throughout the whole plant. But that doesn’t mean live of plants.

I like to think of them as a tool.

Sprinkle some herbs to spice things up.

Make a salve for healing.

Tinctures for aiding.

Fruits imo can be eaten more abundantly but still not great to over indulge.

👍 Happy to hear whenever people can eat fruit and get away with it, but for me, a type 2 diabetic, fruit is 3 kinds of sugar (fructose, sucrose, and glucose) and I have to abstain completely (not that I mind) to not spike my blood glucose or gain weight.

Yeah fruit also offers almost nothing in the way of bio available nutrients and contains lectins (harmful) and many known human carcinogens (harmful). They’re a big net negative.
