#nostr Prejudice discussion. This is a recent post on Reddits r/nostr. I do agree with them. This is what some people think of us now. #Bitcoin has no prejudice and I dont want us responsible for creating a new one. Crypo already has a tribalism issue and we dont need to be a part of it. One way we can help is to hashtag notes with other diverse interests. Social media has plenty of righteous people. I’d like to show them we’re better then those assholes.
I honestly don’t get this? If you go on a platform or protocol in this case and the content is focused on one thing in this case bitcoin the solution is not to get the ppl posting bitcoin content to change, the solution is for the ppl that don’t want to talk about bitcoin to create content and attract and invite other users with similar interests. Just because bitcoiners are attracted to Nostr doesn’t mean they should change their interests. Those ppl can easily not follow ppl focused on bitcoin content nothing is forcing you to follow anyone. Just my 2 sats.

Hi, I wasn’t referring to your note. I was agreeing with what PAC was saying about the individuals in the screenshot. I like your idea of using hashtags. I didn’t think of that, and it’s a great point!
I agree. I’ve been heavily contemplating starting a weekly nostr nest that discusses sports news, and would create a separate account to post about sports. I just need to find the time to do it.

That’s a lot of work to manage two accounts. Why not just use this account? I’m sure people who already follow you would love to hear your take on sports too! A sports nest would be fantastic!
I’d rather keep the sports news and posts separate from my personal notes, just so if people are looking for only sports things they can go to that account. For example, the non bitcoiners in that Reddit post might not follow me even I post sports content just because I also wrote posts about bitcoin. It’ll probably be a trial and error type situation to begin with. We shall see what works best.
I think many of us are in this boat. It takes a lot to create content and put it out. Also when you’re dedicated to living a great life beyond the confines of a phone good content is rarely prioritized.
Even combine bitcoin content with your interests and create some new new.
