That take is unnecessarily inelastic on real life.

Suffering is nothing but perception.

Focus on gratitude for what you have, and you leave suffering behind.

Agree but suffering will come anyway, because one day all that you are grateful for will be taken from you

Stoicism through rational control of what you can influence, and Buddhism through mindful detachment from impermanent desires.

Both are correct, if correctly applied.

I‘m with Plato w/r to suffering being a part of life, but it is our attachment to external things and our lack of understanding that exacerbates our suffering, rather than the loss of those things itself

We live in a fallen world. No escaping it. It’s not good or bad. It’s just part of the human experience
