Good thing is that ownership of bitcoins does not give them any meaningful control over the network, unlike with the legacy companies.
I suspect their stake in bitcoin etf is all about control of price. Much like how gold price is controlled by paper gold
For sure, let's see how it is going to play out. Unlike gold bitcoin is much easier to self custody and transact in, so the incentives for holders are quite different. Hopefully, it will make it very hard if not impossible to control the price though such artificial means as paper BTC, at least long term.
