Zaps will help orange pill the masses for many reasons, but I think one of the most obvious reasons isn't because of value for value. It isn't because Zaps are friction-less, fun, and used in stress-free manner. It's because Zaps are not referred to as Bitcoin. For many, they hear Bitcoin and think of all of the Crypto bros, the scammers, and the charlatans. The masses lump Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency together. Nostr helps to showcase the differences that we often talk about, such as Bitcoin being actual money with actual value. This little bit of branding change has the potential to powerful.

Will zaps really be understood as something other than Bitcoin? It is branded Bitcoin, for sure, but is it obfuscated enough to not be noticed?
It's a Trojan horse. Once enough Zaps are obtained then they'll need to think about this type of money that they're using. For now it's just Zaps.
I don’t think it really needs to be hidden hidden hidden. It just gets the foot in the door and before they knew it, they have some bitcoin via zaps. And people like that. They just didn’t want to make an account on Coinbase and go through a huge bullshit process and think they’re making an investment that “They probably won’t make money on because they missed the boat blah blah blah blah blah”

Orange pilling or purple pilling are both "psyops". We're trying to convince someone of something.
Plus, a lot of people around the world don't have a lot of money, and being able to Zap even small amounts, and still participate, show appreciation and acknowledgement, is pretty empowering.
