Was trying to explain to my older brother what the point of Nostr is from the UK. He was coming from the point of “I don’t want more social media in my life etc etc” and I’m not sure what problem it’s tying to solve. Without being all doom and gloom about what might happen in the future etc. what are the killer use cases I could tell him next time I meet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Truly uncancellable free speech.
Censorship resistant & attack resilient relay based protocol rather than platform.
Self-sovereignty over your Digital ID (npub) and social graph which you and no-one else has control over.
The ability to port your Nostr Social Graph between all Nostr apps and services as the ecosystem evolves. Such an empowering leap forward for users and loss of data capture for platforms. This makes developers more competitive in terms of stickiness and human reward for users too. They must keep delivering value.
I think the emerging ability for any Nostr user to sell a product of service to any other user is still very unappreciated. Even makes you wonder why any home business, maker, entrepreneur even needs a business bank account any more.
