It’s possible the relay has a whitelist, so not explicitly banning you but only allowing certain npubs
well they sure don't advertise anything, so i don't think they are paid which means they block me on behalf of their owners or users

It's quite possible that you don't fully grasp what freespeech means, but you do you.
The relay has a whitelist but it wasn't working until mid May.
The freespeech.casa relay is one that I run. I originally intended to set it up as a paid relay but never took the time to finish setting it up for payments. Right now it just has a whitelist of npubs that are allowed to publish to it based on some people that have asked or used it in the past. I'm happy to get you added if you want to publish on it.
nah i just added it because i wasn't seeing posts from one or two of my follows and i found it on their list
