Can anyone tell me if I can use START9 / start9os / EmbassyOS as a file server?

I am currently running Linux with Umbrel installed on it with my file drives connected. the machine simultaneously shares files to my home network and runs umblre with all the bitcoin goodies.

Is such a setup possible with Start9OS?

this is the only thing holding me back from making the switch.

I like having one machine run it all, I have a high spec machine for it if required.

any advice is appreciated.

yes i have installed this but not sure how to share an external HDD on the network with it. any guidance?

Sorry, no. I'm still noobing my way through it. I just installed it myself. I'll throw you a bone if I can get it working on an external drive, though.

Thx cheeseee it is one file binary - can be installed any linux - pick right one from github - http based - within LAN easy -- based on CPU amd64 ARM linux mac windows - up n running in 3mins

cwolf it will work any of OS u pick/mentioned all underlying linux - but not sure process to install if not using CLI
