Disregard CGI, stick to analog. Stars are out of reach, unless you got a huge telescope in orbit. Focus on the solar system, it's a lot closer.

No, it isn't. You can google the hours that Venus is visible at. This is easy to learn and corroborate.
Go grab a good telescope and take a look at it.
