Had a paranoid thought just now while driving back from the butcher. (Stocked up on a lot of shit): was thinking about Roger Stone’s claim that CNN never covers Trump’s rallies, but had a high-priced freelance photographer present for the one where he was shot.
The obvious inference is that the deep state of which CNN is a part knew what was going to happen and were ready to document and put their spin on it.
But how would having the exact photos help them if the assassination were successful? IOW, if he were killed, what good would it do to have up close photos of the event, rather than just a bunch of cellphone videos?
On the other hand, those photos make Trump look like a hero, the way he stood up and yelled fight.
So the paranoid thought was, what if Trump and CNN are in on it together, and it’s all kayfabe? That the choice in the election seems so obvious (taxes on unrealized gains? FFS?) because they want you to be relieved if he gets elected. They want you to be on board with whatever they’re planning next, so they set you up to worry about some communist, and you get something else bad.
As I said, it’s probably just a paranoid thought, but the last time I felt the choice was this obvious was Obama/McCain, and in retrospect, I got duped. (Not that McCain would have been any better, just that I had no idea what Obama was at the time.)
